A Blind Freindship
One of my favorite reality TV shows is Love Is Blind. The reason why I like that show is that the competitors are challenged to build a relationship based on an emotional connection without seeing each other.
My friendships has always been based solely on who I am on the inside. They don’t care about what I may look like on the outside. The only thing that matters to them is what is within me. In their eyes, my heart is bigger than my challenge.
I can have conversations about various topics. It may take you a while to understand me, but if you are willing enough, you will understand that my mind is stronger than my body.
Someone reading this blog may be having difficulty finding the right friend. I want to encourage you to keep searching. There will be someone out there who will be ready to welcome you with open arms. And there will be some people who won’t see the full you. Do not change one bit of who you are, just to fit in.
Recently, I wrote a poem called " When You Come As You Are. " I started this poem by saying, When You Come as you are, you don't have to hide the real you. In my friendships, I am not required to pretend to be someone I am not. They will take me just the way that my creator made me.
No matter how you look on the outside, it's what's inside that makes you who you are.
