The Power Of The Stage
I wrote a poem called “ The Power Of The Stage.” I wrote this poem to reflect on the first time I took the stage to recite my first original poem at a Camp Fatima talent show. In this poem, I described how the stage was more than a place to share my talent. It was a moment when I launched the call that has been over my life.
When I took the stage, I thought I was just going to share a poem I wrote. I had no idea that my words would have a huge effect on the audience.
The talent show wasn’t just a stage for me to share my poem. It wasn’t a stage for me to have the spotlight on me, but it was for me, a platform to lift others up.
What I didn’t know was that my message would leave people encouraged and motivated. Most importantly, I was unaware that I would be walking into the purpose I carry within me.
Every time I take the stage, whether it’s reciting a poem or giving a presentation, I am always reminded of this moment. The day that I picked up the mic, I felt destiny calling me. The day that I picked up the mic, it felt like everything that I went through was worth it.
